Privacy Policy – NurseTrack
Last updated: 7 November 2026
NurseTrack is a work app provided by your home-care agency (the "Agency") to its employed and contracted nurses and supervisors. It confirms that nurses reach patients' homes on time, so that a replacement can be sent quickly when a visit is at risk. There is no public sign-up: only staff added by the Agency can use it.
What we collect and why
- Precise location (GPS), including in the background, only during your scheduled visit windows: from 90 minutes before a visit starts until the visit is completed (at the latest 30 minutes after its scheduled end). It is used to record when you reach the patient's home, estimate your arrival time and alert your supervisor if a visit is delayed or missed. After duty: for 1 hour after you mark OUT on the Attendance card, location is also collected, so the Agency knows you travelled home safely and is alerted if you return to the patient's home or go to another patient's home without a booked visit. A new IN mark ends this hour early. Attendance marks record your GPS location at that moment, and IN marks also a selfie. Location is never collected outside visit windows and that hour after duty. A notification ("On duty") is always shown on Android while location is being collected, and iOS shows its blue location indicator.
- Check-in selfie taken with the front camera when you arrive, to confirm the right person attended the visit.
- Name and mobile number, entered by the Agency, used for sign-in (with a 6-digit PIN given by the Agency) and for supervisors to call you.
- Visit records: accept / decline (with your reason), arrival, check-in and completion times.
- Device data: a push-notification token, the app version, whether the phone reported a mock (fake) location, and battery level during visits (to explain lost signals).
- Your consent to location tracking, with the date and time you gave it.
Patient details (name, address, map location, contact number) are entered by the Agency to run the visits.
Who can see it
- Supervisors and administrators of your Agency only. Agencies using NurseTrack cannot see each other's data.
- Our service providers that host the app: Google Firebase (database, sign-in, storage, notifications; servers in India – Mumbai region where available) and Google Maps Platform (maps and travel times).
We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it to track you across other apps.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access is limited by role (nurse, supervisor, admin) and by Agency. Times are recorded by the server, not the phone.
How long we keep it
- Detailed location points: 90 days, then deleted.
- Check-in selfies: 12 months.
- Visit records (times and statuses): as long as the Agency needs them for its service and legal records.
Your choices and rights
- You can turn background location off at any time in your phone's settings. The app then works only while open, and your supervisor may see "location lost" during visits.
- In the app, Settings → My visit history shows when your location was shared.
- Delete your account and data in the app: Settings → Delete my account and data. This deletes your login, location history and selfies. You can also request deletion at this page or by email to support@example.com.
- You can ask for a copy or correction of your data by email. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may also raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer at the same email.
Children
NurseTrack is for working adults and is not directed at children.
